Sous Chef for Sushi and Kitchen

This position includes many responsabilities that include, but are not limited to being actively involved in the day-to-day running of the kitchen and sushi bar.

Skills:

The chef will have skills in kitchen that include:

preparing different kinds of rolls,
preparing sauces,
selecting ingredients,
maintaining supplies,
creating menus
training staff,
designing sushi plates,

As well as skills with Sushi Bar that include:

cooking and prepareing authentic Asian cuisine according to production guidelines and recipes,
Cuts, trims, bones, and carves meats and poultry for cooking,
extensive knowledge on how to cook with a wok,
knowledge of how to use fryers,
garnishing plates,
Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensil,
Responsible for using correct portions when cutting, preparing, and serving items,
Ensures food is stored at the appropriate temperature for the appropriate length of time and follows all food safety standards.

Must have a cooking school diploma, certificate or equivalent.
